Hanuman Jayanti Vanar Seva — Feeding Monkeys in Vrindavan & Mathura By Doon Animal Welfare • Fruits • Hydration • Responsible Feeding

Hanuman Jayanti is a sacred day of faith, courage, and compassion. On this auspicious occasion, Doon Animal Welfare is conducting a dedicated Vanar Seva drive in Vrindavan and Mathura—delivering safe food and support to monkeys who struggle daily for nourishment and clean water. This seva is offered in reverence to Bajrang Bali, as service to those dear to his vanar sena—carried out with discipline, dignity, and care.

Why Vanar Seva on Hanuman Jayanti Matters

In temple towns and crowded ghats, monkeys often face hunger, dehydration, and injuries caused by accidents, sharp objects, infections, or unsafe feeding. A calm, supervised feeding effort reduces stress and helps prevent human–animal conflict. On Hanuman Jayanti, this seva becomes a living offering—where devotion is expressed through protection and nourishment for voiceless lives.

What We Are Providing During This Drive

🍌 Safe Food & Fruit Feeding
Distribution of safe, suitable food items such as bananas and seasonal fruits, along with need-based wholesome feed—served responsibly at designated points.
💧 Clean Water & Hydration Support
Clean drinking water arrangements and refills to reduce dehydration stress—especially during heat and long dry periods.
🩹 Basic First-Aid & Help for the Weak
Need-based first-aid assistance and coordination for weak or injured monkeys wherever possible, handled responsibly and safely.

Areas Covered (Vrindavan & Mathura)

  • Vrindavan: temple surroundings, parikrama routes, and identified safe feeding spots.
  • Mathura: ghat areas and approved points near high monkey movement zones.

Note: Seva is conducted at responsible/approved spots as per local feasibility. Please avoid throwing food from rooftops and avoid plastic.

  • Supervised feeding: calm distribution to reduce chaos and conflict.
  • Plastic-free effort: minimise waste and keep temple/ghat areas clean.
  • Suitable food only: safe items that support animal wellbeing.
